Social media is the perfect venue for a quick response and important announcements for many governments and law enforcement agencies. Though, because of an unfortunate error, the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan live-streamed an entire meeting, accidentally turning on the cat filter.  The ministers conducted the meeting online with pink cat ears and cute whiskers which left Netizens laughing out loud.

A user pointed out the error and asked the admins of the page to turn the said filter off. “Filter hata lo. Banda billi bana hua hai (Remove the filter, the man has been turned into a cat),” the viewer said. Even though the filter was turned off rather quickly, netizens were quick enough to take screenshots of the gaffe and, of course, make fun of it.

On Twitter, the party issued a clarification regarding the press briefing held by the Information Minister of KP, Shoukat Yousafzai, calling it a “human error.” “All necessary actions have been taken to avoid such incidents in the future.”

Snapshots of the error went viral in an instant, leading to a series of memes and jokes. Many couldn’t stop taking a sneer at the party of Imran Khan for the error. Some found it “cute” and others joked “who let the cat out?” #BandaBilliBanaHuaHai is trending on Twitter, check it out!
