Camila Cabello’s new singles ‘Shameless’ and ‘Liar’

Camila Cabello dropped a powerhouse double-dose of new music, “Shameless” and “Liar”, at the same time on Thursday (Sept. 5).

The new songs mark the first solo release(s) of Cabello since 2018. The songs create distinct vibes, “Shameless” is a intensely personal song accompanied by a rock-ish guitar and a spare, clicking beat while the song “Liar” has hip-swaying Latin rhythms, bright horns and reggae-like strumming.

Cabello said in a statement that her songs “are basically the story of my life the past couple years and the stories I’ve accumulated – I knew for a long time I wanted my album to be called Romance because these stories are about falling in love,” She will perform on Saturday Night Live for the first time on Oct 12.
