Oliver Jackson-Cohen of Haunting of Hillhouse is the next Invisible Man

The leading role for the new The Invisible Man movie of Universal has been cast.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star of Haunting of Hillhouse, Man in the Orange Shirt and Emerald City, Oliver-Jackson Cohen has signed up to play the titular role.

Also starring in the film are Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Aldis Hodge (Hidden Figures), Harriet Dyer (Killing Ground) and Storm Reid (A Wrinkle in Timei) which is coming from the co-creator of Saw, Leigh Whannell.

According to Digital Spy, Moss will play a woman named Celia whose deceased abusive ex-husband turns out to be dead as she though he was.

Originally, Universal plans to launch The invisible Man as part of its monster movie shared franchise called The Dark Universe, with Johnny Depp as the lead actor. But the studio went back to the drawing board after the poor reception the The Mummy received when it was released back in 2017.

The Invisible Man will be released on March 13, 2020 which is also a Friday the 13th.
