GUNDAM celebrates 40 years with themed sneakers

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Gundam, the series has joined forces with 361°, a Chinese sporting goods supplier, to release Gundam-themed sneakers and summer apparel for resident mecha fans.  First on the list is a pair of sneakers styled after the Gundam model RX-78-2, which comes decked out in its signature yellow, blue, and red colorways.

The classic design is accompanied by the MS-06F Zaku II and MS-065 Char’s Zaku II alternatives, which takes on a forest green, black-accentuated hue, and a vibrant purple-slash-red aesthetic respectively.

The sneakers RX-78-2 and Zaku II are set to retail at $98 on Tmall but the interface the website is in Chinese.
