Chris Rock teases ‘Saw’ Reboot

Details of the upcoming Saw reboot that will hit cinemas next year has been shared by Chris Rock and says the film is “really scary and really bloody.”

The ninth installment of the horror franchise has begun filming last July with director Darren Lynn Bousman, who also directed Saw II, III, and IV. Rock will also star alongside Samuel L. Jackson. The reboot will hit cinemas on May 15, 2020 which is earlier than its former expected release which was October 23.

Saw is really scary and really bloody,” Rock said in a recent interview with Collider. “It’s a Saw movie. But every now and then, you take a little air out. It’s gonna be good.”

Rock will also produce Saw 9, which has been written by Jigsaw screenwriters Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg.
