Willow sequel will air on Disney+

Director Ron Howard and Jonathan Kasan, the co-writer of Solo, are reportedly planning to make a sequel of Howard’s 1988 high fantasy film, Willow and it will air on Disney+

This confirmation comes from years of entertaining rumors of a sequel with vague mentions of discussions between Lucasfilm and Disney.

For those who haven’t seen or heard of Willow, it’s a movie set in a fantasy world where Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis) goes on a quest to save an infant prophesized to bring about the demise of the evil sorceress Queen Bacmorda. In this perilous journey, he is accompanied by a mercenary named Madmartigan (Val Kilmer) and a warrior named Sorsha (Joanna Whalley).

It is still not confirmed if former actors Whalley or Kilmer will be reprise their roles, but there are also rumors that Chris Evans (Captain America) might play the character of Madmartigan.

Disney+ will launch on November 12, 2019
