Will Smith is back for the sequel to “I am Legend”

You’ve probably read the original book by author, Richard Matheson, the same author who wrote, “Hell House” and enjoyed the movie adaptation with Will Smith. You’ve also probably felt that the ending was bittersweet and scoured the internet for alternate endings and scenes that were shot but didn’t make the final cut.

Yeah, you probably also lamented the fate of Smith’s character in the end and wished that it could’ve gone on. Well, looks like fans will be treated to a sequel to the film after all.

As recently announced by Warner Brothers, not only is Will Smith reprising his character in the sequel, they are also bringing in Black Panther star, Michael B. Jordan into it. Both Smith and Jordan will not only be starring in the film but also produce the film.

But that is all that they of course are willing to disclose, as the plot of the film are being kept secret and under wraps!

Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman, who adapted Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel for the original 2007 movie, also is returning to pen the follow-up and produce as well.

I Am Legend, was set in a nearly deserted post-apocalyptic New York City amid zombies, opened to $77.2M in early December in the US and went on to gross $256.4M domestic and $585.4M worldwide.
