Trump on Kanye’s SNL appearance: “He’s leading the charge!”
U.S. President Donald Trump praised Kanye West on his pro-Trump rant on Saturday Night Live’s 44th season premiere where was a musical guest.
Rappers like Lil Pump, Teyana Taylor, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, and 070 Shake were also invited by West to perform with him.
The rapper, song-writer, and fashion icon wore a Make America Great Again (MAGA) cap as he closed the show last September 29 where he started singing “I wanna cry right now/Black man in America/Supposed to keep what you feel inside right now.”
He later pointed out people’s reaction to his avid support for Trump and his most commonly asked question about racism to which he responded saying, “Well, uh, if I was concerned about racism, I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.”

The president tweeted his support and praise for the rapper, “Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!”

West ended his rant with a discussion about a “Democratic plan” to promote welfare and his ambition to run for the presidential seat in 2020.
“That’s how we’re controlled. That’s how we’re programmed. If you want the world to move forward, try love. Thank y’all for giving me this platform,” he added.
He later tweeted about the fun time he had on the SNL set saying, “had so much fun at SNL. Lorne (Michaels, SNL creator) agreed that I would host before the year is out. Need to set a date. Gonna be sooooooooo lit. In the words of Lil Pump …Esskeetit !”
