‘The Witcher’ animated series in the works
Netflix is working on a new animated film based on The Witcher, and fans of the game franchise are absolutely stoked about the news.
The streaming giant announced the good news on Twitter and The Witcher showrunner Lauren Hissrich showed her excitement by retweeting the news saying, “It’s a big day here in #TheWitcher world — and I’ve been keeping this one secret for over a year!”
The rumors are true, a new Witcher story is in the works! The anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, will take us back to a new threat facing the Continent. Brought to you by the Witcher team @LHissrich and @BeauDeMayo, and Studio Mir the studio behind Legend of Korra.

The tweet also teased that a new threat is coming to the Continent, and so far, that’s the only information we have. Details about the voice cast and the release date is still unknown, for now. The said animated film will be helmed by Lauren Hissrich and will be written by Beau De Mayo. The studio behind the animated shows like Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender , Studio Mir, will help Hissrich and De Mayo bring the animated film to life.
