More stars tested positive for Covid-19

In the wake of the shocking announcement from Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson testing positive recently for the Corona Virus, two more actors have announced their positive results for the deadly virus currently plaguing the public.

The week started with Thor actor, Idris Elba announcing his positive results online, saying that he is keeping to himself and imposing self-quarantine. He urged the public to “be pragmatic” and to “stay home”. Elba says that he does not exhibit the normal symptoms of a Covid-19 infected individual but only got himself tested for he realized that he came in contact with someone who was infected. He adds that now is the time to consider social distancing and the importance of good hygiene cannot be overstated.

The second actor who also tested positive for the virus is Game of Thrones actor,  Kristofer Hivju. The actor played the endearing Tormund Giantsbane in the Emmy-award winning series that ran from 2011 to 2019 over HBO.

The Norwegian actor says that he and his family have also isolated themselves. And although he may only be exhibiting mild symptoms like the common cold, he knows that there are more people out there who are at greater risk and strongly urges everyone to wash their hands, keep the needed distance and do what is necessary in order to stay healthy.

Hivju is currently in Norway but is expected to return to the small in the second season of The Witcher. In the sophomore season of the successful TV series that debuted on Netflix last December 2019,  the actor is set to play the character of Nivellen. The second season of the show adapts, “A Grain of Truth”, from Andrej Sapkowski’s short story collection, The Last Wish.
