“Madonna X” No.1 on Billboard 200

Rejoice! Madonna fans because she landed No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 for the ninth time with her song “Madame X.”

She grabbed the top spot by earning 95,000 equivalent album units earned in the US in the week ending June 20. 90,000 were in album sales according to Nielsen Music.

Over the course of her career, Madonna has earned nine No. 1 albums and it’s pretty much a big deal.

Her first No. 1 hit album was “Like A Virgin” back in 1984. Her next hit albums which reached the No. 1 spot were True Blue (1986), Like a Prayer (1989), Music (2000), American Life (2003), Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005), Hard Candy (2008) and MDNA (2012).

Prior to the whole album, Madonna released two singles which are “Medellin” and “Crave.” Three additional singles were also released just before the album was available, and these are “I Rise.” “Future and “Dark Ballet.”

“Madame X” was released on June 14 through Interscope Records
