Jamie Foxx is Mike Tyson

Looks like this is going to be another knockout come Emmy season.

Oscar-winner, Jamie Foxx is set to play Mike Tyson in a limited TV series.

It was originally planned to be a movie starring Foxx, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 film, “Ray”.

The TV series, which is written by Colin Preston, centers around Tyson’s life story and how he made boxing history and became the wunderkind of the boxing world at 20 years old.

“I have been looking to tell my story for quite some time. With the recent launch of the Legends Only League and the excitement from fans following my return to the ring, now feels like the perfect moment. I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie, and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains.”

So far the planned series is not currently attached to any network or particular streaming service. Tyson and his wife Kiki will be the executive producers of the project.
