Haunting Of Hill House Season 2 update

While most tv and movie productions have stopped and have been delayed by the pandemic, it is nice to know that some of our favorite shows have made the “cut”, pun intended, and will most likely go on as scheduled.

One such show is the NETFLIX hit, The Haunting of Hill House; the one series that warrants repeated viewings for sure.

The second season which was revelated to be called,  The Haunting of Bly Manor, actually wrapped up filming before the lockdown, but still, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it can’t theoretically be delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Director and creator Mike Flanagan said, “It’s been a real joy crafting the narrative of this season. And I think if people liked season 1, there’s going to be a lot more to like in the second season.”

Plenty of cast members, such as Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, are returning in all-new roles, while a few new cast members have joined for the second run.

This type of casting is not new as American Horror Story creator, Ryan Murphy has done similar casting on the show for Zachary Quinto who is both on Season 1 and 2 of the anthology show but is playing different roles and involved in different storylines.

The Haunting of Hill House was based on the novel of the same name by author, Shirley Jackson.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is being based on the classic, The Turning of the Screw by Henry James. Flanagan states that inspite of the many versions adapted before and one’s familiarity with the book, there will still be surprises up their sleeve and one that will definitely hook the viewers and keep them glued till the end.

We’re counting on that Mike! Can’t wait to be thrilled and scared.
