ED SHEERAN and Heinz brings us ‘EDCHUP’
British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has teamed up with Heinz and came up with his very own brand of Edchup to celebrate National Ketchup Day yesterday, June 6, 2019.
According to Billboard.com, Sheeran’s love for ketchup dates back to 2014 where he talks about it in several interviews, even having his assistant carry a bottle around at all times just case he ever needs his favorite condiment. He even has a tattoo of it on his left arm.
Apparently this has done wonders for Heinz and that about a third of comments on their social posts are from Sheeran fans.
Edchup is still the regular ketchup that the world knows and loves but in a limited edition, Ed-inspired bottle. It is a real product that anyone can buy and was on sale on an Ed Sheeran x Heinz website for $5 shipping fee, limiting orders to five 32 oz. bottles per customer.
The product has sold out, but Heinz suggested that fans keep a lookout on Heinz’s Instagram account for updates on restocks.
