Scorpion actress Katharine McPhee and music producer David Foster have officially tied the knot on June 28 (Friday) in the South Kensington district of West London at the Church of Saint Yeghiche. According to People, about 150 guests attended the wedding.

Katharine McPhee (35 years old) shared on her Instagram account that her wedding coincided with the anniversary of her first single “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” which was produced by David Foster (69 years old)

“Exactly 13 years ago today my very first single, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, was released right after Idol. Today… I’m marrying the man who produced it. Life is full of beautiful coincidences, isn’t it?  Thank you for taking me over the rainbow, David,” Said Katharine in her post captioning a video of her singing the song Foster produced.

McPhee shared an Instagram Story video right after the nuptials of herself preparing for the big day. “The secret to a calm and collected bride,” she captioned a clip of herself getting a facial. “And maybe a little Xanax.”  The wedding marks the second marriage of McPhee and Foster’s fifth.

The newlyweds first met in 2006 on the set of American Idol when Katherine was a contestant and David was a guest mentor. The couple confirmed their relationship status at the 2018 Met Gala after a year of dating. They got engaged during a vacation in Italy several months later.
