Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort

And the good things just keep coming…

Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, announced over the D23 Expo, that a Marvel-centric and inspired land will be opening at the Disneyland Resort. He says that the goal was to build an immersive super-hero theme park that will enable guests at the resort to help the Avengers.

The section of that park that will house this campus has already begun with the attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: Breakout, which anchors the complex and was opened back in 2017. In addition to this, a previously announced Spider-Man attraction called Worldwide Engineering Brigade or WEB, will also be housed here.

“The Avengers are setting up new Headquarters and training facilities around the globe to inspire all potential recruits willing to step up and become something more,” reads a previously released attraction synopsis. “As part of this global initiative, Tony Stark has founded the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — or WEB for short — to develop advancements in super-powered technology, including new enhancements to Spider-Man’s suit as their debut project. By bringing together the world’s brightest young inventors, the WEB is creating new interfaces that will empower all of us to join the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest.”

Just this summer, Disney Parks announced that their goal is to have their Marvel experiences all throughout the different parks worldwide connected via the Avengers Campus. These would include, the Disneyland California Adventure, the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.

In addition to the concept art shared here, newer art also revealed that Hawkeye has been added to the list of meet and greet characters. Among those already in the list are Spider Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther, and members of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Avengers Campus is expected to open in the Summer of 2020 as part of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
