The 1975 released the video for their first single from their forthcoming album, Notes on a Conditional Form, titled “People” on Thursday (Aug. 22).

The song is heavy rock, with thrashing guitars and lots of scream-singing. According to Billboard, the song’s music video was created by Healy, Warren Fu and Ben Ditto. The video begins with a warning saying: “identified by epilepsy action to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy.”

It also shows the English band rocking out in a neon-yellow cube with flashing words and graphics. Healy goes goth with long, black hair and a pale face, while his band mates wear matching yellow and black suites.

Their upcoming album, Notes on a Conditional Form, will be released on Feb. 21, 2020 through Dirty Hit/Interscope and follows their 2018 album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.
