The Arrow has spoken

We know that Arrow is ending its series run this fall when it returns to the small screen and at one point the lead star, Stephen Amell did voice out his wish for the inclusion of the Arrowverse into the DCEU (DC Extended Universe), or as they want to call it, the Worlds of DC.

Most recently he changed his stand when he appeared in London (May 25) at the MCM Comic-Con. Stephen says that he gets asked why isn’t the CW show, Arrow, not part of the universe of DC movies. He quickly replies that as an actor he doesn’t make the distinction between movies and TV.

In fact over in recent years, much geek talk has been centered on what goes on the small screen, be it the Arrowverse of Game of Thrones. Come to think of it, just in this recent last season of the HBO hit show, the budget has been astronomically insane and the special effects alone could definitely hold its ground against big budgeted mainstream action movies.

“When people try to think of the defining film, they can’t, but people can think of defining television shows like The Sopranos and Mad Men. So when people are like, ‘Why don’t you want to be involved in the movies?’ I’m like, ‘Why would I want to be?’ We’re doing just fine.”

The MTV award-winning actor added that if he were to pick a 2 or 3-hour long movie as opposed to something on TV, he’d prefer a 24 hour long show on the small screen.

Arrow, returns to the CW this fall for its 8th and last season, consisting of 10 episodes and will be greatly part of the crossover of Arrowverse shows like The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and it’s recent spin-off, Batwoman.
