Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ album sales hit 575,000 in 3 Days

According to initial sales reports to Nielsen Music, Taylor Swift’s album, Lover, approached 575,000 copies sold in the U.S. on Sunday (Aug. 25). The said album was released on Friday (Aug 23.) and has powered through nearly 575,000 in just three days. It has the biggest sales week for any album since the reputation album of Swift sold 1.216 million copies in its first week and debuted at No. 1 on the Dec. 2, 2017-dated billboard 200 chart.

On Lover’s second day of release, its sales neared 500,000 making it the top-selling album after just 48 hours in 2019 and furthermore, on the first day of Lover’s release, it tallied the biggest sales of 2019 for an album, having sold around 450,000 copies.

Industry sources suggest that, for the full tracking week ending in Aug. 29, Lover could sell around 630,000 on the low end of forecasts, but if the album continues to perform strongly, the album could sell over 650,000 copies.

Lover is expected to land at No. 1 on the Sept. 7-dated Billboard 200 chart, securing the sixth No. 1 album of Taylor Swift.
