Venom and Spider-Man may well get some crossover treatment in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe film as Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, discussed its possibility.

In an interview with CinemaBlend, Kevin Feige said that the crossover was “probably up to Sony,” but never said it was impossible, which means he could see it happening in the future. “Sony has both those characters and has Venom in their world,” He said.

“I don’t know what their plans are for another Venom or if they’re doing that. But it seems likely at some point.” He continued.

According to NME, the rights of Spider-Man and villains associated with him are with Sony, but they agreed to lease the character back to Marvel back in 2015 so that Spidey could appear in the MCU. Since the agreement between Sony and Marvel, the superhero has turned up in Captain America: Civil War in 2016, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017.

Venom played by Tom Hardy made $855 million at the box office.  The next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home is due for release next month, July 2, 2019.
