Robert Pattinson is the next Batman

The actor who will play Batman in a new film has just been confirmed by Warner Bros.

According to an article by Consequence of Sound, the Hollywood star that has been cast to play Batman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film is none other than Robert Pattinson. The former Twilight star will replace Ben Affleck who portrayed Bruce Wayne in three Warner Bros. productions mainly Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Justice League.

The Batman film that will be directed by Reeves is intended to be a reboot of the franchise taking a “world’s greatest detective” angle. The Batman will not be tied with the existing films in the DC Extended Universe same as Todd Phillips’ Joker film.

“He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been,” Reeves stated. “I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.”

The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
