One Republic releases “Connection” video – watch here

Soon after One Republic released their single “Connection” in June, they’ve just recently released a video which was shot at The Oculus, New York City’s latest addition to the 9/11 memorial.

Directed by Joe Pront, and choreographed by Matthew Peacock, the video shows off the breathtaking architecture of the building as it addresses a bigger message, the conflict between reality and the digital world and finding a balance between blending in and standing out.

The monochromatic video starts with lead singer Ryan Tedder drinking a cup of coffee, observing the foot traffic from above through a glass window. The Front man then joins the fast-walking crowd at The Oculus, all wearing suits and looking down on their hands as if they’re holding their phones.
