Obi-Wan’s series set 8 years after Revenge of the Sith

The question of where will the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series in Diney+ fit in the overall Star Wars timeline has been in every fan’s mind, since the comeback of Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi has been announced.

Fans speculate that the series will happen in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Though, according to the last episode of The Star Wars Show, it has been confirmed that the Obi-Wan series will take place eight years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, which means that the upcoming show will take place almost a decade after the prequel trilogy, and around a decade before the events of A New Hope.

“The untitled series is set eight years after the events of Revenge of the Sith and will go into production next year,” said The Star Wars Show host Anthony Carboni, “It’s only set eight years after because that’s how much older he’s [Ewan McGregor] gotten in the past 20 years.”

According to Geek Culture, production of the show is not slated to begin till 2020. More information about the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series are yet to be announced.
