NETFLIX: ‘Princess Switch’ sequel confirmed

Netflix is giving its viewers an early Christmas present by greenlighting the sequel to The Princess Switch!

The sequel, which once more stars Vanessa Hudgens is entitled The Princess Switch: Switched Again. This second installment will take place as Duchess Margaret (Hudgens) unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro and hits a rough patch with Kevin. Her double, Stacy (Hudgens) needs to save the day before a new look-alike, party girl Fiona (Hudgens), finds out about their plan and foils it.

Returning to direct the sequel is Mike Rohl along with screenwriters Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger. Hudgens will star and will also executive produce the feature, which will come from Motion Picture Corporation of America and Brad Krevoy Productions. Producing the sequel are Brad Krevoy, Steven McGlothen and AJ Riach, with Amanda Philips Atkins, Eric Jarboe and Bernheim as executive producers.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again’s principal photography is set to begin production next month in the U.K., with a planned release in 2020.
