Check out VolkswagenPH’s 11-car display at #PIMS2018

Volkswagen Philippines joins the 7th edition of the much-awaited Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) this weekend, October 24 to 28 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City with an expansive display of 11 vehicles in its line-up, including the three newest variants that will be available to consumers by December 2018.

In addition, the Volkswagen booth adds that homely Filipino touch to the Motor Show’s technology-driven “Future Mobility” theme. The Filipiniana-themed Volkswagen display area is highlighted with nipa  huts and visitors are treated to local delicacies. The Filipino-themed display is in line with the successful media ride-and-drive to Nueva Ecija province held last August for Volkswagen Philippines’ latest vehicles, emphasizing the direction to make the German engineering experience even more accessible to Filipinos.

Making their public debut at the 7th PIMS are the two new variants of the Santana model, 1.5 MPI automatic transmission Trendline and Comfortline; Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline ; and, the Lamando 280 TSI DSG Comfortline and Highline.

The Santana 1.5 MPI AT Trendline and Comfortline and the Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline offer more power with its 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, in-line MPI Euro5 compliant gasoline engine with BlueMotion Technology mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission generating maximum power output of 110 Ps at 6,000rpm and maximum torque of 150 Nm at 4,000rpm.

The Lamando 280 TSI DSG Comfortline and Highline variants, on the other hand, are both powered by the 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder, in-line TSI Euro5 compliant gasoline engine with BlueMotion Technology paired to the 7-speed

DSG transmission that generates maximum power of 150 Ps at 5,000rpm and maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1,750 to 3,000rpm.

The 7th PIMS and its theme “Future Mobility” is an ideal venue for Volkswagen Philippines to put the spotlight on its vehicles that make world-class premium German-engineered and designed motoring lifestyle experience much more accessible to hardworking Filipinos. It’s that unique

Volkswagen motoring lifestyle experience that places a premium not just on the vehicles themselves but also on their maintenance costs–an important consideration for every would-be vehicle owner plotting out his or her future mobility options.

All Santana, Lavida, Lamando, and Tiguan variants come with comprehensive warranty coverages. Aside from the three years or 100,000-km general warranty, whichever comes first, Volkswagen Philippines also offers a 3-year warranty for paint and another 3-year warranty for through-corrosion of the main steel body structure.

The periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule for these new models is also structured for its owners’ convenience. The PMS interval is once a year, or every 10,000 kms, whichever comes first. This is more convenient and more cost-efficient compared to the industry-standard 5,000-km PMS interval.

In the next few days at the 7th PIMS, Volkswagen Philippines will show that in “Future Mobility”, Your Drive Will Get Better.
