Autotelic celebrates online success

Autotelic’s latest single “Takipsilim” now has more than 100 Thousand Streams on Spotify! “Takipsilim” is the band’s first single release since their album “Papunta Pabalik” was released in 2016.

“Papunta Pabalik” was a great way for Autotelic to make their mark in the OPM scene with hits like Laro,(4.5 Million streams), Languyin (3.1 Million streams) and Gising (2.5 Million streams).

Josh Villena – lead vocalist of the band shares that the inspiration behind “Takipsilim”

“I’ve always been a fan of 80’s midnight/ summer night drive feels. Yung feeling na naglalakad ka mag-isa late at night, or nagmamaneho ng sasakyan habang malamig ang gabi”.

Josh shares that it took him around 20 minutes to finish the whole song –

“It took me(more or less) 20 minutes to finish the whole song. Umupo lang ako at naggitara, then suddenly it hit me *laughs*. I recorded the song using my phone right away, tapos pinadala ko sa mga kabanda ko…Binigyan ko din ng challenge and sarili ko with this song dahil umiikot siyas a tatlong chords halos, sa melody ako naglaro”

Fans have a lot to expect from this band as they are currently in the process of recording their upcoming EP under MCA Music.
