A Game of Thrones cast member passed away

After a 4 month battle with cancer, one of the “cast members” from the award-winning and phenomenal HBO show, Game of Thrones, has passed away.

While this cast member walks on all fours, he has been an integral part and member of the show since it began.

The cast member in question is actually a Northern Inuit dog, who is named Odin, and plays Bran Stark’s personal Direwolf named, Summer.

Odin’s family paid tribute to the 10-year old pooch on their social media where they wrote: “It’s difficult to put into words how this has impacted us as a family, for Odin led a life like no other dog.

“Odin was a family member first and we got him when he was a pup at seven weeks old. All we wanted were big dogs to take hiking and to sleep at our feet in the evening beside the fire, everything after that was a bonus.”

They add that the passing of Odin marks the end of a decade and an end of an era where he has taught family and friends many lessons about life and that for one dog, he definitely had a lot of stories to tell.

Before his passing over $14000 ( £12,000 UK)  was raised to fund Odin’s cancer treatment.

Thanking everyone for their support, his family added: “We are incredibly grateful for the donations made towards Odin treatment and we will use what is needed to pay his vet bill and we will donate the rest between our favorite dog charities the donations will help further dogs in need at this tough time.”

Rest in peace, Odin.

This dog should go to Heaven.
